NBA panic meter: 11 teams already worried about playoffs?
The 2024-25 NBA standard season is still under a month old, yet it's never too soon for groups to stress over sluggish beginnings. Without a doubt, mentors and players probably won't concede they're overreacting. Yet, when a group begins losing, it's hard not to feel a feeling of the time getting endlessly. Take this statement from New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson half a month prior: "It's an elevated degree of criticalness yet not in a frenzy sort of way. It's all the more an engaged, meeting up as-a-group sort of way. ...I don't believe it's a reason for alarm. We simply have to secure." Williamson was mindful so as to make it clear he and his partners were not excessively concerned - - however it positively seemed like the tension was sneaking in. (Not that it appeared to make a lot of difference, as New Orleans has won only two of nine games since Williamson gave that statement.) So which NBA groups ought to encounter that feeling of (we should simply tell the truth here) ... alarm? We should go through each of the 11 of the groups that had basically a 35% opportunity to make the end of the season games before the season - - in view of the normal of their preseason BPI gauge and their suggested probabilities from ESPN BET - - and whose season finisher chances have plunged from that point forward, characterizing them by exactly the way in which stressed they ought to be currently.
