Thrilling Homecoming for Wendy Zhang
It was a decent homecoming for Wen Yu (Wendy) Zhang, who assisted Canada with getting their most memorable group win today at the Uber Cup, the 21-year-old securing the third point Yue Yann Jaslyn Hooi. Canada won the tie 5-0. This being her most memorable competition in her nation of birth, Zhang was awed by the environment, and excited to hear individuals getting down on her Chinese name. "I hadn't dominated a solitary game - this was my most memorable success and clearly I'm glad to win a point for my group, and we're blissful we could beat Singapore," said Zhang. "My folks are here, a portion of my family members from different regions have come to watch me. I'm glad that I had the option to win before them and do right by them. "It's my most memorable time playing a competition in China, so I'm extremely blissful. I could hear individuals shouting my Chinese name, so it's very amazing. I'm not exceptionally used to such a group being in the arena - hearing the bird is hard. At times it's difficult to play, yet exceptionally glad to see that badminton is developing and individuals are watching and getting to know the game. Zhang was brought into the world in Kunming and moved to Canada when she was in 4th grade.
