
Scorchers Clinch Record Sixth BBL Title with Six-Wicket Final Win

Perth Scorchers claimed a record-extending sixth Men’s Big Bash League title after beating Sydney Sixers by six wickets in the 2025–26 final at Optus Stadium. The Sixers were bowled out for 132, with David Payne starring with 3-18 and Jhye Richardson adding 3-32. In reply, Perth openers Mitchell Marsh (44) and Finn Allen (36) put on a brisk 80-run stand to set up the chase before Josh Inglis guided the hosts home with an unbeaten 29. The Scorchers reached 133-4 in 17.3 overs to seal an emphatic victory in front of 55,000 fans.
