West Indies all-rounder Bravo retires, joins IPL's Kolkata as mentor
Previous West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has resigned from proficient cricket following 21 years and joined Indian Head Association (IPL) champions Kolkata Knight Riders as a guide. The 40-year-old experienced a crotch injury recently that rashly finished his support in the Caribbean Head Association. "My brain needs to continue onward, yet my body can never again persevere through the agony, the breakdowns, and the strain," Bravo composed on Instagram on Thursday. "I can't set myself in a position where I could let down my colleagues, my fans, or the groups I address. "In this way, with overwhelming sadness, I authoritatively declare my retirement from the game." Bravo, the best bowler in proficient Twenty20 cricket, has 631 wickets in the arrangement including T20 Internationals (T20Is) and establishment competitions. He played 40 tests, 164 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 91 T20 for West Indies and was essential for their T20 World Cup-winning side in 2016. In the wake of resigning from worldwide cricket in 2021 Bravo started his introduction to training last year, filling in as the bowling trainer of the IPL's Chennai Super Lords and the Afghanistan public group.
