LSG to Send Domestic Pacers to South Africa for Early IPL Prep

Lucknow Super Giants have begun early preparations for IPL 2025 by planning a training stint in South Africa for their domestic bowlers during the SA20, which starts on December 26. Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan are part of the initial shortlist, with young left-arm pacer Naman Tiwari also likely to join. The group is expected to travel to Durban next week. The bowlers will train with Durban Super Giants, LSG’s SA20 affiliate, under a familiar support staff that includes Lance Klusener, Tom Moody, Bharat Arun and Carl Crowe. The stint is aimed at helping injury-hit pacers Avesh and Mohsin regain match fitness ahead of the IPL, which begins on March 26. LSG is believed to have taken BCCI permission to avoid any protocol issues. Naman Tiwari, bought for INR 1 crore at the mini-auction and not currently involved in domestic commitments, is also being considered for the program.
